Meet The Team

After college in 1998, Matt began his career in lighting sales followed by a sales role with an electrical distributor. Matt then partnered to form a start up wholesale division in erosion control products. His initial responsibility was for local accounts and with much success, quickly earned him responsibility for national accounts such as Ferguson and John Deere. In August 2009, Matt joined Spectrum Hulett Group. Since 2009, Matt has had an incredible impact on the South Carolina territory with each of our key lines. Matt has been recognized by those factories and his customers for his achievements. In 2010, Matt earned Rookie of the Year awards from Kichler and Fanimation. In 2011, Matt earned an Outstanding Achievement Award from WAC Lighting. Matt currently sits on the American Lighting Association Board of Governors and is the past chair of the American Lighting Association Young Executive Task Force. Matt has an incredible work ethic, an engaging personality, is very competitive, and has a commitment to excellence in all he does. Matt lives in the metro Charlotte, North Carolina area.

Ryan has been in sales and sales management roles in the electrical industry for over 20 years with over 15 years specifically on the light fixture side of the business. Ryan has been recognized as a consistent top sales performer at each company he has worked for earning numerous sales and leadership awards. In addition to field sales experience, Ryan brings sales and operations management experience as well as a technology background to the agency. Utilizing his technology and industry experience, Ryan has authored two LED courses accredited by the American Institute of Architects. Ryan has spoken at various industry events and presented courses to thousands of lighting specialists, architects, interior designers and lighting designers. Ryan holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and lives in the metro Charlotte, North Carolina area. He is a volunteer in several capacities at his church, homeowner’s association, and activities his children are involved in.

Jasmine has 18 years of experience providing excellent customer service as well as an Associates Degree in Office Administration from King's College in Charlotte North Carolina. Jasmine grew up in the Western part of North Carolina where she continued to live until shortly after graduating college. Jasmine decided it was time to seek a new career path and moved to the Charlotte area in 2005. In August of that same year Jasmine started with Spectrum Hulett Group as an order processor and customer service rep. With hard work and dedication Jasmine then worked her way to an inside sales position and then to General Manager in 2013. Jasmine oversees the daily operations of the office as well as the warehouse. She is responsible for making sure her team provides the best customer service possible as well as overseeing the Quotes department. She also handles all the ordering of items stocked in the Charlotte warehouse. Jasmine is very dedicated and truly enjoys her job as well as helping others.

After gaining her degree in Consumer and Family Science with an emphasis in interior design, specifically kitchen and lighting design, Linda continued her education and also earned a degree in Business Management and Marketing. The degrees provided a foundation for the 15 years working in lighting showrooms. Her experiences in inside and outside sales with a variety of customers including homeowners and builders, moved her into the roles of sales management and helping to open new showrooms. Then, Linda took her showroom experience and became a manufacturer’s representative and has worked with some of the best names in lighting for the last 15 years. As exciting new technologies like LED and innovations in merchandising and business management have changed the lighting industry, Linda has enjoyed having the opportunity to bringing new concepts and ideas to her customers. As a member of the American Lighting Association and ALA Certified Lighting Specialist, she has continued her educational pursuits to bring the latest in lighting technology to her customers.

I joined Spectrum Hulett Group in 1989. Prior to that I was a Rep for Progress Lighting for 10 years covering a territory in North Carolina which included the “Triangle” area and eastern NC. I started in this business covering the greater Atlanta area with NuTone's lighting division, Lightcraft of California.

Upon graduating from Meredith College with a BS in Fashion Design, Elaine was employed by Belk Corporate as a Visual Merchandising Coordinator. She was soon promoted to Special Events Director for the five Belk stores in the Triangle. Her job responsibilities included managing a staff that supervised special events and promotions as well as conducted product training for the employees. She was rewarded with the Pace Setter Award for her performance. Elaine then transitioned to a successful career as a sales representative in the lighting industry representing Thomas Industries and a 15-year career with Sea Gull Lighting. She has received several awards for her sales achievements. Since 2010, she has been a sales rep with Spectrum Hulett Group. Elaine has a passion for Interior design and enjoys the hunt to find exciting and creative decorating and lighting solutions. She is an active member in her church and community while volunteering in multiple capacities. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, the beach and loves animals especially her Yorkie, Virgil Kane. Elaine lives in Raleigh NC.

Stephanie has over fifteen years of sales and customer service experience in residential and commercial low voltage technology integration including extensive work in the home building industry. Stephanie's background in technology systems has given her a quick start in lighting with LED and other technologies playing a bigger role in the industry. Stephanie calls on electrical distributors and specifiers in the greater Charlotte area.

Beth has over twenty years of design, sales, and project management experience in the contract furniture and lighting industries including twelve years as a lighting showroom manager, buyer and top sales producer. Beth has a bachelor's degree in interior design from the University of Arkansas, as well as an LS (Lighting Specialist) from the American Lighting Association where she also has served on the Showroom Steering Committee. Beth lives in Mt. Pleasant with her husband Jim and enjoys horseback riding, reading, travel and wine. She volunteers at East Cooper Meals on Wheels and Rein and Shine. Beth calls on electrical distributors and specifiers in South Carolina.

Dan comes to Spectrum Hulett Group with 10 years of sales and marketing experience. He has previously led sales teams and spent much of his time working with national accounts such as Wal-Mart, Target, and Amazon.com. He received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Maryland and Masters of Business Administration degree from Arizona. Prior to joining the Spectrum Hulett Group, Dan spent time working in Los Angeles, California in the toy industry where he worked for several different large toy manufacturers and helped lead their sales efforts to increase placement at both national and regional accounts. He is happy to be back home on the east coast closer to family. Dan covers the Maryland, DC and Northern Virginia market for Spectrum Hulett Group.

Chris has over five years of lighting, design, sales and electrical experience. Chris frequently draws on his technical background as a great agency resource on systems. Chris joined Spectrum Hulett Group in 2021. Chris' previous experience includes sales rep in the lighting industry in Michigan prior to moving back to the Carolinas. Chris has a degree in HVAC from Greenville Tech. He currently lives in Greer with his wife and two kids.

Brittani joined Spectrum Hulett Group on the inside sales team learning the industry from the inside while drawing on her background in sales. Brittani's positive personality combined with the knowledge she built during her time supporting our distributor partners and sales reps, led her back into sales relocating her family to the Wilmington area for Spectrum Hulett Group. Brittani works with coastal North Carolina accounts.

Jessica joined Spectrum Hulett Group in the fall of 2021. She comes to us with an abundance of lighting, construction, sales, and design experience. Her career started in the photography industry (think darkroom and printing pictures) and she credits that experience with helping her understand and explain kelvin temperature and CRI. She has worked in electrical distribution in showroom sales, showroom management and outside electrical and builder sales. Her construction experience includes builder relations, builder sales, electrical design, and project management. Prior to joining Spectrum Hulett Group, Jessica represented multiple lighting and electrical lines in the Philadelphia/ Northeastern PA market for over 12 years. She relocated to the Virginia area and now covers Northern Virginia and DC for Spectrum Hulett Group.

CJ McGee has over twenty years of lighting experience, working with residential, commercial and government contractors, electrical distributors, lighting showrooms, interior designers, architects and residential builders.  CJ started in the lighting industry while attending college at Georgia State University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English.  She lives in the metro Charlotte area with her husband and three kids and has a small farmhouse in Southwestern Virginia where she loves to escape to for relaxation and to read the latest crime novel.  CJ covers areas in North Carolina and Southwestern Virginia.

John joined Spectrum Hulett Group in the fall of 2021. John comes to the agency as a top performing seasoned sales pro with a diverse background in various sales roles as well as owning a medical device sales and distribution company. John attended NC State on a full baseball scholarship, was 2nd round draft pick for the Kansas City Royals and had a rewarding tenure with the Royals, NY Mets, and Chicago White Sox prior to getting into sales. John lives in the Raleigh, NC area with his wife and loves spending time with his family.

Attie joined Spectrum Hulett Group in 2019 and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in lighting specification, project management and quotations. He has a tremendous technical aptitude for solving lighting challenges and acts as a technical advisor to our team in addition to overseeing all quotations.
